Program description:
The aim of study is to train computer program designers who are able to develop, install, maintain and operate software oriented IT tools and systems, and who are able to work individually or in teams. They are also provided with appropriate basic theoretical knowledge to continue their studies at MSc level. Main topics of study: mathematics and economics computer science (theory of computation, data structures and algorithms, computational complexity, artificial intelligence) programming (programming languages and techniques, software technology) information systems (databases, design and modeling, web technologies) computer systems (computer architectures, computer and telecommunication networks, operating systems) optional professional subjects The students also become experienced in project- and team-work working with numerous R&amp,D activities of the faculty with top international companies, and may be involved in research activities. The R&amp,D areas of the faculty include several aspects of IT security, medical informatics, systems engineering, lighting technologies, image processing, infocommunication technologies, sensor networks, controlling and optimizing systems.
