Overview

The programme is aimed at people who are interested in building-structure, it is open to structural engineers, architects and civil engineers with a bachelor degree or a degree in a related field of study. The programme is based on the Faculty’s research into structural science and aims to provide a comprehensive, practical and theoretical course in structural engineering. The course content focuses on developing skills in experimental techniques and computer usage and reflects current trends in structural analysis and design. The course covers research methods for engineers, construction project management, numerical methods etc. Optional modules are also offered in the field of structural engineering, such as design in steel and concrete, structures and geo-technics, geotechnical engineering.

Evaluation of the student is fully based on his/her performance and it gives a
formal feedback of his/her progress in work. All courses and laboratory work end
with a grade.

The grading system generally used by Hungarian higher education
institutions is the following:
•The highest grade is 5 excellent.
•Grade 4 is good.
•Grade 3 is satisfactory.
•Grade 2 is a pass.
•Grade 1 is a fail – the course must be repeated.
