Overview

Program description:
The PhD programme focuses on the role of health-threatening microorganisms and damage to health caused by environmental factors. Both epidemiologic and experimental studies are necessary to identify physical and chemical effects that cause health problems. The courses of the Medical Microbiology and Preventive Medicine programmes are combined in this Graduate School and offer a wide variety of research. We think that our major goal is to train young professionals who have active and comprehensive knowledge of the structure and function of prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells, molecular organisation, physiology and special attributes of microbes. The successful training will endow them with the ability to conduct independent research.
