Overview
Program description:
The aim of the four-semester-long Master of Tourism Management Programme is to possess students with high-level of knowledge in economics and in different management areas and tourism businesses. They will gain professional skills in tourism, enabling them to perform comprehensive tasks of planning, controlling, coordinating and managing problems at local, regional, national or international level. The graduates will be able to work independently, to prepare decision-makings and also carry out tasks in teams. They will have the necessary knowledge and competences to hold managerial or executive positions in various tourism businesses (eg. hotels, spas), multinational companies, and also in public administration or in non-profit associations (eg. planning agencies). The graduated students will have adequate knowledge to start a doctoral studies in management areas.
The Programme will enable students to:
• work in tourism, perform comprehensive planning, management and coordination tasks
• continue their studies on a doctoral programme
Graduates:
• will be equipped for successful careers and leadership positions in tourism, hospitality and the
leisure industry
• will be able to perform comprehensive planning, management and coordination tasks in
business, in public administration and in the non-prot sector
• will gain high-level expertise in economics and tourism, which enables them to become
professionals as well as to pursue doctoral studies
Entry requirements:
1. Secondary school leaving certificate and Bachelor degree related to the field of the Master programme
2. B2 English language knowledge, proved by internationally accepted language examination system (e.g.: IELTS, TOEFL, WAEC, etc.) and interview performance
3. Transcript of bachelor studies
Entrance exam:
The entrace exam consists of two parts. On one hand, the applicants’ previous studies are evaluated (based on the transcripts and the final secondary certificate/high school diploma), motivation letter and any additional documents are checked as well. On the other hand, applicants need to participate in an online admission interview. During this interview applicants need to prove their English language skills and also their suitability for their chosen program.
