Overview

Program description:
The predecessor in title of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) was founded in 1782, and started the education of architects in 1871. It is a state university, presently the largest technical university in Hungary. The university has eight faculties: Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Informatics, Economic and Social Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Natural Sciences, Transportation Engineering. Our profession is both artistic and technical: architect+engineer. The traditional strength of this Faculty is the balance between these two fields: we attach equal importance to the studying of the technical and engineering sciences and to the development of artistic creativity.
