Overview

Program description:
The Faculty of Architecture of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics focuses on training highly professional experts in architectural engineering who are aware of the social and cultural implications of their profession. Versatility is emphasised so that students will gain fundamental knowledge and abilities in every possible field of architecture and be able to find work in a highly competitive job market, and in any building- or design-related area of consulting, construction, and management.

Entry requirements:
• BSc degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering (with notarized English translation);
• BSc transcript in Architecture, Architectural Engineering (with notarized English translation);
• English language proficiency: we accept the following internationally acknowledged English language proficiency as far as they test all 4 skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking): TOEFL iBT (the minimum score is: 80) or IELTS (the minimum score is: 5.5). Exemption: those who have completed their prior education and received their diploma and can prove it with a certificate: from a country where English is the official language of instruction and/or from a school where English is the official language of instruction;
• Recommendation letters (2);
• Portfolio;
• Successful entrance exam

Entrance exam description:
1. Pre-evaluation of the submitted documents
2. Electronic e-admission test/exam (via Internet) which consists of a written part (example is available in this link: epitesz.bme.hu//files/doc/en/2020/Design%20task%20ER%20HEALTH%20POINT_final.pdf) and an oral part (Skype interview)
3. The result can be:
a, admission to the Master of Science Program in Architecture;
b, admission to the Preparatory Year for Master of Science Program in Architecture;
c, rejected
