Entry qualification | High school / secondary education (or higher) • Good grades in high school diploma in Mathematics and Physics (80% or higher) During the 1st academic year of the studies the admitted students have to undergo the Class 1 Medical Certificate (EASA Part-MED 1178/2011 EU regulation) as compulsory requirement before starting the flight training. • English language skills at upper intermediate level or higher (at level CEFR B2 or IELTS 5.5) – Having a language certificate is not a compulsory requirement. The language level will be assessed during the online interview. At the University of Nyíregyháza, you do not need a language certificate to apply, but the responsible authority in your sending country may set higher requirements. Overview
The purpose of the training is to train professionals who are familiar with aviation and are able to work as professional pilots, and able to support the air operation, ground handling and transport operations at aircraft operators and organizations and carry out compliance monitoring and safety management activities also. After gaining the necessary professional experience they are able to fulfil the requirements as nominated post-holders also. The requirements for ATP (A) integrated training (Airline Transport Pilot, Aircraft) have been mastered. Graduates are prepared to continue their studies at the MSc level. During the first year besides basic technical studies, students will learn Principles of Flight as well as familiarize themselves with Aviation English. Following successful completion of the first two semesters, students will start the practical part of the course during the following summer and fly the aircraft. Next to aviation-related subjects, students will also gain strong engineering knowledge in various technical fields, such as mechanics, mathematics, technical drawing.
Specialisation options:
The Airline Pilot specialisation is the only one specialisation that is mandatory by this way: After successful completion of the programme (what is an ATPL integrated course) the following ratings will be obtained: ATPL theory, CPL (commercial pilot license) ME/IR (A) (multi-engine instrument rating), Night VFR (NVFR), MCC (Multi Crew Cooperation). Belonging to the exams at the end of the semesters, successful examinations at the Civil Aviation Authority are needed in the following subjects: Air Law, Aircraft General Knowledge (Airframe/Systems/Power plant, and Instrumentation, Mass and Balance, Performance, Flight Planning and Monitoring, Human Performance, Meteorology, General Navigation, Radio Navigation, Operational Procedures, Principles of Flight, VFR and IFR Communications. The practical training comprises 140 flight hours on aircraft 40 hours of simulator training (FNPT II) and 20 hours of Multi Crew Cooperation (FNPT II).
