““The Doctoral School of Business Informatics is a multidisciplinary programme, its fields of training are business and management and computer sciences. The programme is offered primarily to those, who have an MA in Business Information Technology or Marketing, but students with a similar qualification and an interest in business administration, information technology, future studies or applied mathematics can also apply. Areas of specialization: 1) Information management and business informatics 2) Data analysis and modelling 3) Economic- and social statistics 4) Future studies 5) Media and IT regulation Duration of training: 8 semesters Number of credits to be achieved in the frame of the program: 240 (educational, publication, research and teaching credits) The units of the programme: 1) Educational and research unit (4 semesters, 120 credits) A minimum of 12 courses to be accomplished. The unit ends with the complex exam. 2) Research and thesis writing uniit (4 semesters, 120 credits) This unit includes the defence of the thesis-proposal and the final doctoral thesis.”“
Hungarian citizens, EU and EEA citizens with the same treatment as Hungarian citizens, as well as non-Hungarian citizens who are not treated as Hungarian citizens are eligible to apply for training in the doctoral schools of Business Informatics, if a) they hold a diploma obtained in university or equivalent accredited master training (MA or MSc) with not inferior than good (or equivalent) grade and have obtained not less than 300 credits in undivided university or two-stage bachelor and master training, b) after three years of obtaining the diploma, an exemption of the requirement for a good grade may be given subject to providing proof of sufficient research, technical and scientific performance, c) they hold a complex B2 or higher language examination recognized by the state from at least one foreign language, Applicants are required to submit a preliminary research concept and participate in an oral exam. The oral exam surveys the applicant’s intellectual capacity and ability for scientific work. The examination committee draws up a score showing the complex assessment of the candidates, and summarizes the results. It ranks the applicants on the resulting scale of 200 points.
