Overview
Open your eyes to the world to understand the background of international affairs and world events
Programme Description
The International Relations MA programme offers students an enhanced learning experience with recently updated content and innovative educational methods. Participants will gain stronger methodological skills, enjoy greater flexibility in course selection, and tailor their studies to individual interests through personalized learning paths.
The programme provides a thorough grounding in both the theoretical and practical aspects of International Relations (IR), fostering a deep understanding of the international system. Students will explore the foreign policy goals of global and regional actors, the dynamics of international conflict and cooperation, as well as the normative and institutional frameworks that govern these processes.
In line with the evolving nature of the IR discipline, the programme also covers the growing influence of non-state actors in international affairs and addresses global challenges such as migration, pandemics, climate change, and digitalization, along with their effects on traditional state-to-state relations.
Our educational methods emphasize active student engagement and evaluation forms that promote individual professional growth. Participation in courses enhances analytical skills, reinforces critical thinking, and prepares students for careers in dynamic, international environments. Throughout the programme, students will have opportunities to attend extracurricular events, such as visits to international organizations, workshops, and conferences, to further support their career development.
Graduates of the International Relations MA at Corvinus University are well-equipped for diverse career paths. Whether your interests lie in public administration, the business sector, or non-governmental organizations, you will be prepared to take on roles as diplomats, public servants, analysts, or advisors in intergovernmental organizations (e.g., the UN, EU, or OECD), or in NGOs, foreign policy analysis, journalism, and multinational companies. You may also choose to pursue an academic career.
We encourage applicants who are passionate about understanding the forces shaping international affairs and analysing global events and actors. Our programme welcomes students from around the world, creating a dynamic multicultural environment that fosters networking and supports the launch of successful international careers.
We look forward to welcoming you to our programme!
