Other requirements | At least 2 reference(s) should be provided. All applicants must attend an online oral interview. The application procedure is based on an evaluation system of 100 points: 50 points are given for motivation, professional knowledge and educational background, and the other 50 points for language proficiency according to the online interview. Following the formal check up of the application documents, the university will organize the oral entrance examination. The entrance exam is successful, if the applicant have at least 60 points. Overview
The aim of the training is to train environmental scientists with a high level of basic knowledge and appropriate practice in all disciplines necessary for the creative practice of the distinctively multidisciplinary environmental science, with a broad range of widely applicable and versatile skills, general literacy and a modern approach to science. They are prepared to meet society’s needs for the management and planning of environmental science. They are ready to pursue their studies at doctoral level.
In the Environmental Science study programme you will acquire the knowledge that will enable you to:
- recognise different environmental hazards and assess,
- carry out tests in environmental laboratories,
- find ways to identify and assess environmental hazards and damage,
- to find solutions to protect natural resources rational use of natural resources, to reduce waste
technologies, environmentally sound soil protection and water management,
- taking an active part in environmental projects.
Qualification: Environmental Scientist
The students have 6-week internship during the training.
Programme structure
Number of credits required for the Master’s degree: 120 credits
- orientation of the course: practice-oriented (60-70 per cent)
- credits for the thesis: 30 credits
- minimum number of credits of related practical training outside the institution: 6 credits
- minimum number of credits for optional subjects: 6 credits

Environmental scientists are employed by the mines, fertilizer plants, textile and dying industry, food processing units, etc. After holding a degree in this field you will get the variety of careers to choose from.
