Regional science attempts organically describe the common terms, theories as well as methods of social space sciences such as regional economics, urban sociology, and social geography. Among others the aim of the training is to study the trends of the examinations of tourism, regional and rural development, sustainable development, consumer habits, environmental issues respectively logistics innovations in an inter- and transdisciplinary way. We focus on the elaboration of complex and specific action plans concerning the closing-up of rural regions (agronomics, sociology of settlements, local social theory, social development, etc.). We select carefully the methods in accordance with the research topics, the diversity of our methodology is provided by thorough fieldwork, statistical analyses, up-to-date mathematical analyses as well as GIS systems. Our main objective is that the Doctoral Dissertations issued by our Doctoral School should be realized in an economically useful, pragmatic and practical way for the relevant society.

After the assessment of the uploaded documents (preliminary studies, language certificate, preliminary research documents, list of publications, research plan etc.) a Skype interview will be organized with the selected candidates in order to check their language skills and professional background. After all, the admission committee decides about the admission or rejection.
