Program description:
The Doctoral School of Mechanical Engineering working in the frame of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Szent Istvan University since 1993. The main topics are the engineering and the energetics, but numerous multidisciplinary research is carried out connected to the life and environmental sciences, as well. The Doctoral School provides the possibility of participation in international projects and by cooperation with doctoral schools of Hungarian and foreigner universities fulfils the international standards. The first 2 year long interval is the educational period with joining courses, taking part in the education, research and publications. The validation of the student activity is done by credit system. After the successful complex exam, closing the first two years, the second 2 year research and dissertation interval starts, which is finished by the thesis. The number of the PhD students in our school is 38, and 84 PhD research was finished successfully till now.

At least good level of MSc diploma in the field of engineering (mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, mechatronical engineer, architect, engineering management), min. B2 level of English

Entrance exam description:
After the assessment of the uploaded documents (preliminary studies, language certificate, preliminary research documents, list of publications, research plan etc.) a Skype interview will be organized with the selected candidates in order to check their language skills and professional background. After all, the admission committee decides about the admission or rejection.
