Overview

Program description: Production Engineering in the field of mechanical engineering is significant branch of science and engineering. It covers designing and elaborating production processes, the conceptions of manufacturing technologies as well as implementing devices and systems, modelling, operating, maintaining, supervising and organizing production tasks. This specialization considers the needs of the partner industrial companies. The curriculum of Mechanical engineering MSc (in English) is structured in 4 semesters, each semester having 14 weeks of teaching activity. Thus, the curriculum includes the subjects of advanced knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering and thorough knowledge of disciplines necessary for a rapid integration of the master program graduate in the labor market.

Entrance exam description:
The professional evaluation of the educational materials (degree, transcripts, results) is the task of the relevant Faculty. This evaluation is followed by a Skype interview with one of the professors of the Faculty, which aims to check the applicant’s level of motivation, language skills and professional knowledge. (In case of a missing certificate about the English language proficiency we conduct a Skype interview in order to check the applicant’s English language skills.)

Basics of natural sciences (22 credits)

Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Modern Physics, Dynamics of Mechanical Systems, Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics, Advanced Material Science.

Economics and Humanities (16 credits)
Basics of Management, Quality Management, Financial and Advanced Economic Knowledge, Research Methodology.

Professional subjects: (46 credits)

Measurement, Signal Processing and Electronics, Design of Engineering Structures, Engineering Modelling and Simulation, Manufacturing Equipments, Design and Quality Assurance of Manufacturing Processes, Assembly Automation, Design of Material Handling Systems, Production Logistics, Maintenance and Machine Repairing Technologies, Diagnostics and Condition Monitoring, Lean Production.
